1. Introducing the Commitment Manager (Beta)
Managing Reserved Instances (RIs) and Savings Plans can often feel like navigating a maze. With this release, we are rolling out the Commitment Manager, a powerful new view designed to give you instant clarity on your financial lock-ins.
Centralized Visibility: Get a clear, consolidated view of your current AWS commitments. No more digging through multiple AWS console pages to see what you own.
Database Savings Plans: We have integrated Database Savings Plans into our Cost Explorer, allowing you to visualize how these plans apply to your usage and ensuring you aren't leaving money on the table.
2. Usability That Flows
Small friction points can add up during a busy workday. We’ve smoothed out the interface to match how you naturally navigate the web.
Tab-Friendly Navigation: You can now use the Middle Mouse Button (or Ctrl+Click) on links throughout the platform to open them in new tabs. It sounds simple, but for power users analyzing multiple resources at once, this is a game-changer.
Transparent Onboarding: We’ve improved the status indicators for new tenants. If your data is still being ingested ("AWS Backfill in Progress"), we now validate and display this status clearly for the current month, so you know exactly when your data is ready for analysis.
3. Precision Tuning
We are constantly refining our cost models to ensure 100% accuracy.
RDS Optimization Accuracy: We fixed a calculation edge case where upgrading from Standard to IO-Optimized storage could incorrectly show a cost of $0 in specific scenarios.
OpenSearch Modernization: We’ve corrected the cost projections for OpenSearch modernization recommendations, ensuring the "Estimated Savings" you see are exactly what you will get.
