September brings a brand-new Commitment Manager: one place to see what your Reserved Instances and Savings Plans actually earn you, how much eligible usage is still uncovered, and to set the assumptions behind every commitment recommendation.
Here is what's new in Stable.
1. Commitment Manager
Listing the commitments you own is only half the story. The Commitment Manager answers the two questions a commitment strategy actually turns on: how much are my commitments saving me, and how much more could I still commit?
Savings health at a glance
Effective savings rate: Your savings over the last 30 days compared to what the same usage would have cost on-demand, with the trend in percentage points versus the previous 30 days.
Total Savings: What your Reserved Instances and Savings Plans really earned, with upfront payments spread across their term and unused commitment subtracted. Switch between the last 12 months and All Time.
Hourly coverage chart: See, hour by hour, what your commitments cost, what they saved, and the eligible on-demand usage still left uncovered. Spot unused opportunity and over-commitment instantly.
All your commitments in one table
Every family covered: EC2, RDS, OpenSearch and ElastiCache Reserved Instances, plus Savings Plans, across all your linked accounts.
Days Remaining countdown: Know exactly when each commitment expires.
Search, filter, export: Choose your columns, hide expired commitments, and export to CSV or Excel.
Recommendations built on your buying strategy
Recommendations tab: Commitments worth buying, with potential yearly savings, current annual cost and affected resources.
Commitment settings: Set your preferred term (1 or 3 years), payment option (all, partial or no upfront), lookback window (7, 30 or 60 days) and target coverage once. Every recommendation adapts to how your organization actually buys. Editor role or above required.
Built for the decision you're making
Unlike AWS Cost Explorer, Stable measures uncovered usage only against what AWS actually sells commitments for. The result: a clear answer to "how much demand could I still commit?"
